Decision-Making and a Hierarchy of Understanding

Robert O. Briggs, is Director of Methodology and Process Tools at GroupSystems.com, and is Research Coordinator in the Center for the Management of Information at the University of Arizona. He explores the theoretical foundations of joint effort, and designs technology to improve the performance and satisfaction of teams working toward a common goal. He has published more than 50 scholarly works on technology support for teams. He is currently researching the use of thinkLets to create repeatable, predictable patterns of group interaction, and the use of technology-supported methodologies to create predictable success on cognition-intensive tasks. He earned his doctorate in Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona and holds a B.S. and M.B.A. from San Diego State University.
